A training which dealt with working life cooperation between companies and SeAMK was arranged for the academic and non-academic staff of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. For the University of Applied Sciences, close cooperation with working life is a natural part of everyday activities, but expanding the cooperation interfaces further also requires internal development work at the university. The training was organized as part of the EcoAction project.
The training was based on the results of a survey aimed at SeAMK's academic and non-academic staff. Nearly 100 responses were received, indicating that the importance of the theme is recognized. The survey asked about current operating models, results, challenges related to working life cooperation and what should be addressed during the training.
The afternoon consisted of speeches, a learning cafe and a panel discussion that concluded the event. The goal of the development afternoon was to give practical tips on contacting companies, examples of cooperation patterns between SeAMK and companies and different actors, and to get information on customer management, communications, and marketing.
